-THE ABOVE-MENTIonED GOODS ORIGINATED FROM SAFETY AND NON-EPIZOOTIC AREA.THE GOODS HAVE BEEN WASHED WITH DETERGENT AND CLEANED WITH WATER FOR about ONE HOUR.THEN DRIED IN A STEAM DRYER AT THE TEMPERATURE OF 110°C FOR about 30 MINUTES. THE FEATHER WAS TAKEN FROM THE SLAUGHTERED ANIMALS .
1) De-dusting: feather and down are treated in special cylinders where the combined action of rotating shafts and sucked air sorts out dust and residual matter from the material.
2) Washing: feather and down are washed with water and neutral detergents to remove fat and other impurities.
3) Spin-drying: feather and down are spin dried at room temperature to remove all water residues.
4) Drying: feather and down are sanitized at 120°C in special pressure tanks for at least 60 minutes, as laid down in D.M. 10/11/76 N. 315.
5) Cooling: feather and down are then cooled down to room temperature in the cooling chambers.
6) Sorting: feather and down are eventually sorted according to their type, weight and dimensions, in order to obtain homogeneous and selected qualities.
